That’s So Hialeah

What is your favorite Hialeah memory?

Every “winter” our family would venture out in search of the elusive churro and hot chocolate man.

What is your favorite place to order cafecito or restaurant in Hialeah?

Nothing beats good old-fashioned cafeterias with generic, unimaginative names like “Myra’s, Vicky’s” etc.

What’s the first thing you do when you visit Hialeah?

Buy a delicious loaf of Cuban bread and dig my hand, elbow deep into the center. Seriously, yum.

What’s your favorite Hialeah saying?

Se ha formado tremendo arroz con mango! Also we invented, “pero like”.

What do you love most about Hialeah?

The Cuban authenticity and family values that permeate every neighborhood… and chongas, because they keep it interesting.
